My first impression was whoever picked the music for his tape should get an oscar. It definitely added to the beat down on the screen.

Second, this kid is really special. He has a lot of skills that are not often seen in a single player. He was just blowing people up left and right and looked real smooth doing it.

Awesome pick up.

What is really freaking exciting is the fact that (per MB's article) he was only 15 last year. He'll be just 17 his frosh year in college. Baby Beast.

Yeah, I was thinking Beast Mode too when I read about him, but I think NYC has the winner! Welcome aboard, Beast Jr.!

I saw this kid play two playoff games last year. I am excited we picked him up.

On another note, we should go after any kid from Sac High (in either bball or football) that can play. The academic and disciplinary requirements of that school produces kids who can handle the rigors of college. At least since Kevin Johnson took teh school over and made it a charter school.

Nasty why is he not highly rated, bc hes from sac?

Sac High was an inner-city power once upon a time that fell on very hard times until Sac High and Cal alum Kevin Johnson resurrected it as a charter school. They play in a lower division (III) so I would assume that you don't get as many stars for that reason.

Good. I miss the days when we were a tough, physical, blue-collar team.

Exactly. Do dig ourselves out of the pit that we are in now, we need the kind of blue-collar players we had during Tedford's early years.

that only happens when the recruit looks too small, too fat, and/or too slow.

On that note, I'm proud to announce Cal has just offered me!
5' 10", 240#, 6.1 40-yd time, zero sacks, zero TFL last year. But I play with a lot of heart.

Oh, and that 6.1 is probably a bit generous.

Go Bears!

Ingram and Likens, sure. how about Yenser?

on the defensive side, Burns seems like he'll do fine, even Chach. let's see Tate land some important guys in this class.

i was speaking of P ingram and likens persay .. both are energetic personable i believe they represent CAL well out on the road going from house to HS yenser at this point needs to get his 8-9 guys READY period .. but he seems to be going after guys that fit .. stars aside

i agree with the burns and garret ( didn 't he hold it down Defense wise till art was hired ?)
as to Tate .. good start with bringing chris plamer in DT good pick up great area of need lets see how him and art recruiting wise sense tommy fired them for that or something to that affect
