Those four I know. It's all the other actors.
I like the little blond babe that's coming to take over the Iron Throne - Cereesi (?)

A lot of characters call her "Khaleesi," but that is her title. It's supposed to mean "Queen" or something in the language of her people. Her actual name is Daenerys Targaryen.

Because with Breaking Bad gone, AMC only has this and The Walking Dead and a bunch of other shows that no one watches. They're trying to stretch things out as much as possible in hopes of finding another hit.

Makes sense, but then why not just HAVE two more seasons?

Or why not just CALL it two more seasons (but with only 7 episodes each)?

It's how their phrasing it that irks me.

At the risk of being attacked, banned and pilloried I will say I have no desire to read the books after this show...not because I don't like it but because I do.

I guess if you call it two more seasons you have to pay them as such? Probably something like that.

I feel the same. Now that I'm this far into the show I don't want to read the books because I don't want to ruin it for myself . . . not just in the sense of knowing plot points, but also in being disappointed with what they left out. At this point I'd rather just not know. Maybe long after the show is done I'll check out the books too.

Same thing happened after the first Lord of the Rings movie came out. I was originally planning on reading all of the books, but then decided against it because I enjoyed the movie so much.

In 2011, creator Matthew Weiner signed a 3-year $30 million deal to create a 5th, 6th and 7th season of Mad Men.

If AMC were to call next year's batch of episodes "Season 8," then that would be outside his contract, which means AMC and producer Lionsgate TV would have to pony up extra money for him to do those episodes. The actors and the writers and producers would get more money, too. It would be too costly to label it a whole separate season, when the production is for one season.

I haven't glanced at the books. I have no time to read books (I have like 50 books waiting for me on my iPad), so I have no idea.

But here are some people who consider the show superior to the books:
