Here's Capra's commitment story: http://bearinsider.com/news/story.php?article=1126

Have to say, beyond his athletic prowess, he's a great a kid as you'll find and a great student, too.

Capra's the type of kid born for Cal.

Very nice web site, well organized with excellent content.
Johnny's future is very bright, especially since he understands both Cal and Berkeley.
#2 (of 5?) for Yenser.

With only two OL graduating after this year, the number is 3-4.

Two very good ones in already and maybe one for next year.
Yenser's building the depth needed.
Nice to be striking in the Sacramento Valley area again.

Welcome Johnny!! I'm sure you've heard similar lines to this before, but it'll be "a wonderful life" for you at Cal. It's great to be lining up the O-Linemen.

It was a battle against Wazzou and Utah.

There was NO battle nor would there have been with anyone else.

Capra is an exceptional STUDENT who wants a Berkeley education.
Capra is also a great get at OT for Cal.

Judging from what he said in the article, and adding that to the comments made by his coach, this young man is the real deal. Remember, he has a year of high school to go. I betting that he'll be a great asset to our OL. Welcome, Johnny

yenser... is working hard on the recruiting front 2 good ones and 2 more to go

im just hoping the coaches(for the players present/future) do well enough to stay through 2015 on both sides of the ball would really like to see some coaching recruiting relationships continuity

other wise the new Coaches better be recruiting gurus with kids ready to come to CAL without having to build new relationships...

i can see him being being pretty good recruiter if the team shows up with wins and maybe even a ______

weak offer list (well, better than some we've offered), but OL is one of the hardest positions to project, and with us taking more OL commits, not too concerned there.

he's looked good in his 1st hear of playing, but not so good against better talent in camp settings. hope he plays only OL primarily next year... also, maybe it'll get us a leg up in landing his brother... though I was definitely hoping to land a mix of Samia, Uluave, Johnston, and Creason to finish this class off...

Like you said ed tough to project. The one thing I will say is that the staff is getting a good chunk of early OL commits which really contrasts to the sensation that they were scrambling last year. Usually early offer guys are more of the of course we want them types even if they are a but under the radar

Creason would be big. Beat out ASU among others. The other guys will be tougher I imagine unless we do some winning as they seem like they are the wait and see typrs

I agree. it's important that Yenser gets on the map early this year. the worst thing for a young coach (esp. one coming off of a 1-11 season) is to lose confidence in himself and his own abilities. we don't need them to second guess themselves in front of their players.
