After last year, we expect that the Bears are ready to play. Cal won't take anyone for granted. It is an important game to Sac State. We will get their best shot.

Hope we do get their best shot.
Of course, winning is most important but it would be good to see a real running game develop, a big enough lead to support playing a lot of 2s and 3s to build experienced depth.

Not sure of the change, but that's what I thought of when I saw the shirt. I do remember Furd started with that BE-AT-CAL number right after the 1982 Big Game and The Play

This was the same era when the U$C Athletic Department kindly asked the media to stop referring to their teams as "Southern Cal". Their list of acceptable references included University of Southern California, Trojans, and "The Women of Troy".

We then proceeded to take great delight in referring to their mens' teams as "The Women of Troy". Stupid toejams.ork:
