On third and 16 Solomon threw to a receiver on the sideline who was hit and driven backward and out of bounds. He was given forward progress. The clock should have continued to run. Instead it stopped at :16 seconds. That allowed U of A to line up and run two more plays. Horrible call on that.

refs were fine, if anything Cal got the better of the calls all night.

I think it was stopped because they were moving the flags, not due to them thinking he went out of bound. I might not be remembering exactly the play you are talking about though.

agree. the offensive pass interference was the right call, but wasn't blatant, and hardly ever gets called, and there was some pushing by both players

I completely agree! they should have wound the clock on that one! He was heading backwards as he went out of bounds!

I agree. We can't even blame the refs this time! We recieved several favorable calls, and we still managed to pull off the loss...

I agree the refs were fine. Miss a holding call here and there and I can live with that but when mistakes are made that affect the length of the game it's a different story.

I think refs sometimes stop the clock while placing the ball. Not sure...

He was given forward progress. The clock should have run. Simply a bad call that cost us the game.

He didn't get the first down. The next play was fourth and something. They were not moving the flags. The clock should have run. Horrible mistake by the refs.

Get over it dude. Things like this happen in every game. It wasn't that one call that lost us the game.

Ref's were okay. I liked that they didn't throw a flag every other play...which has been typical of Pac-12 officiating recently. Maybe someone higher up had a talking to with the refs about all the yellow flags being thrown around.

How about no offsides call on any of the 3 onside kicks on UofA? The decoy kicker was offsides on two of them. And the batting call was completely made up. Not in the rule book or the interpretations. That is just not a rule. Add to that the very mismanaged(by the refs) clock, and the picking up the offensive PI flag on the hail mary, and this was a robbery. We won that game. Period.

The refs might have sucked but I'll take those refs over the usual...

Be careful or the self-appointed BI police will conclude that you're just a poor sport. After all, we should hush up when it comes to the officials' mistakes; we should be congratulating UofA.
