I was trying to decide if it would have been better for Cal to win Saturday or last Saturday.

A win vs UA would have been a win away against a better team and a hostile crowd in bad weather.

But this win required Cal i. To overcome the effects of a devastating last second loss in the prior game. ii. to overcome being down by 2 TD's against a good offensive team. iii. To trade punch for punch for 6 quarters. To never give up or let down. iv. It allowed the fans who shied up to experience the joy if a come behind victory.

A win in Pullman could also be a win over a better team in a hostile environment in bad weather. (Not that I know what the weather will be like)

It's too early in the season to know how good anyone is.

Better to have won both.

A loss away to a team that is favored against you is better then a loss at home to a team you are favored against

this one was more important set the home field tone ... coming to cms is no longer a "cake walk " yes im still disgusted at anish the anus from espn saying furd has nothing but " CAKE WALKS" on the rest of the schedule

#2 the showing metal and resolve to come out down on not running on 8cyl ... then to tinker and keep at it and find a way to win .. will be long lasting for team confidence ... them running on the field after with the TED flag .. is what they needed az over with and forgotten ...

It's counterintuitive.
The more we win, the more haunting is the AU loss, not the opposite.

Not sure why the Ariz loss is "haunting".
We're going to have close wins and close losses all season.
If we can stay in this range, then, perhaps, we can get 3-4 more wins.

We've had one big win and, hopefully, can avoid big losses.
We still have an obviously severe D depth problem, but these guys do fight for California.

Should have beaten both. With a little D , would have beaten both.

The Arizona loss will become "haunting" if Cal ends up with only 5 wins this season. Then, a win at Arizona would have provided the 6th win to make Cal bowl eligible.

We were going to let a win slip through our fingers sometime during the season. It happened early. Hopefully never again and it helps us win more than 6.

lets try to put that out of our minds. itd be typical Cal but we got a long ways to go before we start lamenting at the most heart wrenching type of scenarios

Better to win in Pullman than Tucson. That means we're headed in the right direction going into the meat of our schedule.
