What a game! Struggled at the start but 2nd Quarter on, Goff was fairly well protected and opened some running lanes. They are growing up. Huge positive in my mind because the Wazzu front 7 is pretty darn good.

Completely agree. In the beginning of the game there was some issues but they adjusted and gave Goff protection. These guys are learning to play well together. Great job OL.

The OL has been one of the biggest differences between this year and last. They are protecting Goff pretty well and they are actually opening some holes to run through as well. Remember last year when we couldn't run the ball and Goff was scrambling for his life so much that people felt Kline's ability to run was a plus? Yes, Goff is getting rid of the ball more quickly as he is more comfortable, but the OL has been marvelous!

Anyone know who we're rotating in and out on OL, if anyone? I remember reading that at Northwestern we used 5 guys on the line the entire game, which seemed insane. I've had the feeling that our line wears down as the game goes on, but this game they seemed to get significantly better the longer the game went on.

I'm pretty sure we are playing the same 5 guys the entire game. I watched those guys a lot and I don't see subs unless they get injured. I did see one of the Cochran brothers in there last week, I think. But tonight I think it was the same 5 all game.

Totally agree.

BTW - LOVED that reverse on Rubenzer's only snap. Great flip by him!

That's what I was hoping he'd do on that 3rd down against AZ, when everyone knew he was going to run.

Considering what WSU did to Oregon and Utah, yah, I'd give our OLine a ton of credit. In fact the transformation of the offense this year is almost entirety due to the OLine improvement. They seem to be getting better every week.

They've certainly reached the "adequate" level and are, indeed, continuing to improve.
And, we have depth and they're getting experience.
Matt Cochran, as an example, started last year but is now getting playing time to give both Adcock and Crosthwaithe a chance to blow.

Tip of the hat to Yenser since the OL was the big, very dark cloud hanging overhead for so long.

O-line still needs to improve but they gutted out the last stages of the game when they knew the heat was on.

You can't get any leverage from a two point stance.

Giving credit where credit is due. The o-line has shown good improvement this year. Goff says so.
