If the alternatives are driving, which I don't, or not going... Uber @ 3X is doable. Just go early. We've taken ubers from Rockridge to Upper Market for under 40.

You have two choices:

(1) Use BART's bus bridge between the Embarcadero station and the 19th St/Oakland station and continue on to the Downtown Berkeley station using BART or
(2) Take an F bus from the Transbay Temporary Terminal to Memorial Stadium (or at least close to it).

If you go by 511.org's trip planner, the trip across the Bay to Cal Memorial will take about 45 minutes. I have no idea how long the trip will take using BART's bus bridge.
