i wonder why? on the pac12 football spots/shows everybody is a homer to their school justified ...( older guys like ronnie and bolliti (sp) get a pass) but this NEW guy i am not feeling

The 'New Guy' is going on extended losing streaks and no wins against a winning program. You want to argue against that? Late game offensive statistics don't count for much when You lose constantly. Defense made the backup BYU qb look like a Heisman candidate. Beat someone with a pulse and things might change as to the perception of the Cal program. Not until.

Last year is last year and defense/depth is improving. Funny how other media and journalists seem to think higher than the PAC-12N guys.

Win/Loss records against other Pac 12 programs. Any other Team in the Pac 12 have as many extended losing streaks as Cal?; Talk's cheap, losing records trump gushing predictions. We lose to Washington and see how many 'commentators' abandom the Cal Bandwagon.

Loved the post. Unfortunately IMO stanfurd is not as bad as the score indicates. The standfurd defense is not as strong as it has been but it is still stronger than Cal's (IMO).
Here is hoping that Shaw continues with his conservative play calling. He can win with that provided he has a spectacular Defense and an above-average Offense. Now might not have either. But Big Game is a long way from now.

No,.. I've had more than enough misery in Cal losing. Since '67,.. I'm fundamentally sick of the excuses and hype and losings streaks and no Rose Bowl. Go ahead and ignore me but You cannot ignore the truth to the frustration and disappointment to expecting something other than bottom of the league performances and extended losing streaks. It's like the Cubs and the Detroit Lions sports teams, failure starts at the Top.
