I got banned a couple years back from that board for doing nothing wrong. They ban who they want. You can just make a new account though. It is not an IP address ban.

Tried reading that Shaggy site, found it kinda boring compared to BearInsider. Much more diverse topics and commenters here.

overall, their posters don't have anything substantial to say. In the thread about how good Cal is, drunkoski is the only one that seems like he knows what he's talking about in terms of college football. miss having that guy around haha

Banning isn't a moderator decision over there more than mob mentality. Enough negative votes can push your rep score low enough to trigger the auto-ban.

You're correct. I got an e-mail back from their moderator saying that it was their members that did it. I told him if I ran the site I wouldn't let the inmates run the asylum. He told me to rejoin using a different name. I declined. Imagine if BI let the members decide who stays and who go's. This place would be like the Scout site. A ghost town!

You have to wonder why a USC fan would go on a Texas board for a game between Texas and Cal when they have a big game against Stanford. Clearly he is looking for affirmation from the Texas board (which must mean that he looks up to Texas and Texas fans). Since he is not getting what he was seeking, and since he will just keep acting like some anonymous tough guy without realizing how counterproductive his posts are in relation to the affirmation he is seeking, I wish someone would tell him he is really cool so that he can feel better about himself.

I wouldn't bother trying to figure it out. I tried reading that thread but gave up when that one SC fan tried to be a tough guy (still can't figure out why he would insert himself in a discussion about Cal and Texas when SC has to play Stanford this week) and took what was a somewhat funny back and forth between fans of two teams talking smack and made it about himself. Talk about a clueless person taking himself too seriously about something that is not that important.
