You missed the best part of his quote - "They got blood, sweat and tears. I made sure of that. "

I love Forsett. You can tell he loves Cal and takes pride in being a Bear and having that UC Berkeley education.

Gotta love J Force. Got his education, got into the NFL. Loves Cal...met his wife, comes back to train.

Hope that guy gets into coaching after his playing days.

You know what, this video does more than all the argumentative rhetoric in the world ever could to rebut the jaded faculty members, the wiseacres on the street, and the disinterested students who question the value of intercollegiate athletics. Forsett comes off as thoughtful, appreciative, and a person who got a real education as a student-athlete at the University of California. It's easy to latch onto the corruption, the off-the-field issues, and the mercenary aspect of the revenue sports at some institutions, but Forsett is a walking, talking example of all that is right in college sports.

I am extremely impressed by what I saw. Lots of guys playing major college sports are like Justin, but the world doesn't see or hear much about all the good guys in college football. Great vid. Thanks for putting this up here.

JF remains one my favorites... A fantastic person and ball player. I guess the Ravens have the Raiders this Sunday...

As some here might know, AR is playing both the Raiders and Niners this season, in the Bay Area. Think we see him make such a visit, see the new CMS and facilities, to meet SD in-person? If there was ever a time, this year might be it...

I love his comment about going to space, it was something like "No one is going to remember that [reference to the bowl game], this here [going to space] is legacy." I'm paraphrasing, of course.

It's time to let it go. I was a huge AR fan too, but AR has made it clear, he's not coming back. That's fine. We have plenty of alums in the NFL who loved their time at Cal and still bleed blue and gold! Also, we have another QB who's going to be in the pros soon, so we can stop obsessing about AR.

Is it consensus on this board that this stadium is Tedford's legacy?

Yes, we should give him that. He fought for it and helped build what many before him thought was impossible at Cal.

Yup. Would have never got the stadium w/o the wins and future promise. Too bad about the delay because that damaged things and helped sent JT down the pike.

Holmoe years. I remember beating them. Wasn't 2000 the year we went winless except against rutgers?

We played Rutgers at the end of the season because of 9/11.

It must have been in 2000, we beat Utah 24-21. Smith has had amazing longevity in the NFL for a WR.

It may a bit more difficult for AR to pull that off. The Ravens played at Denver last Sunday and John Harbaugh decided it would be best to have the team stay in the west for the week rather than make two additional flights east and then west again. JF and Smith ordinarily wouldn't be near the visiting city mid-week of the game.

Ravens have been practicing at San Jose State, which will host the NFC Champions for Super Bowl week.

I think of it as the house that Tedford re-built. It will always be the house that Andy Smith built. But we owe Tedford a lot for what it is now as well as the SAHPC.

Ah, I wasn't aware Beardog26. No such scenario for the Ravens before those two games here in the Bay Area. Excellent point.

Why don't we fans tweet that idea to AR? It would make for great press for our program. In fact, SD and the AD PR people should personally invite AR to stop by (and have the cameras ready to roll). In fact, tweet his gf, too. Maybe she wants a tour of Berkeley, the gourmet ghetto, the place where her man's quarterbacking talents blossomed. Wouldn't you be curious about your SO's college days?

I really appreciate what JT was able to accomplish. The last few seasons were rough but I think the tree sitter episode really derailed some of the mo he was building.

Anyone recall Jason Kidd's go-to phrase of agreement?
