Update: got here at 415 AM, number three in line. Happy to share with anyone from BI who gets here in the next hour. I should be easy to spot.

How does the brisket smell?

Six months out to the day for reservations - and you'll NEVER actually get one, so you probably shouldn't even bother.

Probably too late for this weekend, but you can preorder a brisket from Franklins for pickup that is cooked and vacuum sealed to skip the line. Not as good as cut fresh probably, but you get the taste without waiting in line. We have one in the fridge to heat up tonight.

They did a second one this year. Just like with the first one, girl in the pink steals the show.

Those types of segments are bogus, they might have interviewed a hundred passer bys and edited out the 90%+ people who said they didn't know those fake bands.

Kimmel is an idiot, his bawling over a dead freakin lion was beyond pathetic pandering.

I actually think his crying was sincere, and caught him off guard. I wouldn't cry over a lion, but I don't think he was pandering at all. That was earnest emotion.

I hope we get some camera shots of UT sorority girls crying tomorrow night.

^ I think it was honest too. And of course most people they interview for these Lie Witness News segments probably don't fall for it. They're not saying "this is how everyone responds", they're saying "there are people who respond like this, bwahahaha".

It's possible a few of those people are exaggerating a bit, but most probably aren't, including the aforementioned pink-wearing girl(s).

Just so everyone knows, you can get Rudy's BBQ in the Phoenix area now. It is still the same as the Rudy's in Austin.

La Barbecue in Austin is also very, very good.

But none of it is Flint's (LOL).

I preordered La Barbecue, but when I arrived it turns out I could have just walked up (they were out of most things, but had beef brisket and turkey).

Good lord, that brisket was amazing. I was blown away. I requested Lean, and it was incredibly moist and flavorful. Wow. Never had any BBQ like it in California.

Kimmel is a known weeper -- so much so that Howard Stern likes to play a montage of him crying over the stupidest things....Kimmel launched his show in January 2003. John Ritter appeared once, before dying in September 2003. And when Kimmel paid tribute to him, he couldn't help but get emotional. That's just how he is.

And yes, these segments are bogus. But it's a stupid comedy bit...And regular news does the same too. When I was 11, I was interviewed by a local news channel in Hollywood about a current event with my two friends (ages 10 and 12). They quizzed us, and we got all the answers right. But when the segment aired that night, all they showed were adults getting it wrong and being stupid.

I do, however, also thinking that people in general are just stupid/ignorant of what's going on in the world.

But Kimmel's fake news stuff can be really funny, like in this case.
