That replay reversal of treggs catch is the worst so far this season.

Cal can't beat the Longhorns and the refs in Austin

We lucked out with targeting call though

Refs doing everything they can to help Texas so far on multiple plays. Total BS.

Treggs call. The wide out out of bounds. Unreal

The targeting call is the rule, even though it's a bad rule

These refs are 10 fold better than pac 12 refs who are owned by Nike/SC/Furd triad. I"ll bet you anything the pac 12 refs have anonymous busy paypal accounts.

Unbelievable call, they should be fired. Thought it was going to be along night after that - but Cal ended with only 6 penalties for 50 yards.... I'll take that any night!

The refs didn't call the very obvious faking play, where a UT player drops the turf on instruction from the sideline. Even the Homers calling the game called it, they freakin' showed it on replay.

I've never seen a team hold as much as Texas did. They got a few calls but they were relentless with the obvious holds. Worse than Oregon.

Was wondering about that play too - thought Texas called a timeout on that play before the refs could flag the worst flopper I've ever seen.

You nimrods calling the refs homers. These guys are from the pac. Big 12 will send a crew when Texas visits.

So as usual, they just suck. We got away with a PI for example, and Texas lost a play on the ref time management at the end of the third quarter.

I agree. Oregon's holding is inside the shoulders. Texas had several plays where their lineman reached out and grabbed defenders by the shoulders. Flagrant.

Isn't it incumbent for the coaches to recognize this and complain like hell so that the refs notice it?

There were many holding and pushing in the back penalties that were not called.

Was this a pac12 crew? I thought they refused to travel for out of conference games and would instead officiate the return trip....did they change this policy?

That call was horrible but also the first drive where we challenged... Enwere looked a yard passed and was pushed back. That should have been reversed and i would love to see the offsides on the kickoff where we recovered. They were they went offsides but in a quick replay they looked good from a quick glance.

Enwere's run should have been a first down
Enwere's second reviewed run should have been called a touchdown (you couldn't see the ball but his whole upper body was across the end zone)
Watching on tv, I have yet to see how that kickoff was offsides.
On Texas' 2nd touchdown drive they had two long runs around the outside and on both of them our DE was blatantly held during the entirety of the play.
Treggs catch was an obvious catch

That is a split second too early. I think the announcers called the wrong player offside. They said look at the bottom of your screen, but I think the player offside is two players up from the kicker. In fact, after replaying this kickoff several times, I thought there may have been at least 3 players who were in line with or slightly past the ball before it was in contact with the kicker's foot. Those players are the two just above the kicker and one of the players towards the lower part of the screen. This is all to say that although close, I think this call has more merit than the Treggs out of bounds call - by a lot.

That should be an unsportsmanlike penalty. Also, not called, the spearing of Goff's legs when he slid for the first down. The one that screwed up the brace on his left leg. He had given himself up 3 yards earlier. But, justice is sweet.

In the Michigan State game (I think), ball caught briefly in the end zone then immediately lost as the receiver fell out of bounds.
Regardless, TD.
Made me think of all the TD's we lost when the ball was caught and clearly possessed in the end zone, then lost after, and the refs erased the TD with an "incompletion".

Bitching about refs is kind of fruitless. Best to wipe the spittle off the TV (or the back of the person in front of you) and go on.

The issues is you could call offside on almost EVERY kickoff.

Good point xul. How soon was the flag thrown here? Not sure, but still could be one where they get warned about a possible call to make.
