No shots of texass fans crying?
Cal fans were in roughly five adjoining sections in the upper deck. We were on the aisle in the last full Cal section (123) and this UT fan was taunting by fake crying (rubbing his eyes) in every Cal fans' faces in section 124 after the TD. Magically and promptly disappeared after the missed extra point.
Texas fans were very well behaved all day and nobody gave us any grief post-game as we walked several crowded blocks. One UT fan in his mid-20s was sobbing uncontrollably just outside the stadium. Seemed really weird since I'm sure he covered if he bet the game. Lots of visible drunks since beer was readily available in the stands for three quarters. No fights and minimal heckling.
Noted earlier that we stayed in the hotel where UT had their pre-game meetings. Kinda sad that they had police dogs sniff everyone's equipment bags before they were loaded onto the team buses.
In general, people were very polite and friendly. Pre-Astros game on Friday night, one of my friends dragged a life size Dos Equis most interesting man in the world cardboard cut out across a bar and propped it up on our table and nobody gave us any crap. Concierge at the hotel today was so apologetic about no game day shuttle service that she had her husband drive us to the stadium pre-game. Really pleasant experience, sincerely hope they're treated well in Berkeley next year.
