Man, I feel like a bunch are on the tip of my tongue, but all I can think of are:

AWOLNATION- Sail
Green Day- Basket Case
Nirvana- Smells Like Teen Spirit

What other songs does the Band perform regularly? I'm thinking of the interludes while in the stands, not halftime shows.

I got some friends inside

The face in the mirror won't stop
The girl in the window won't drop
A feast of friends
"Alive!" she cried
Waitin' for me
Outside!

Since 1980, they have been playing "Fat-Bottomed Girls" by Queen
The Straw Hat Band still plays "More Than A Feeling" by Boston, which was released - on Epic Records AND tapes - in 1976.
Speaking of which, is anyone else old enough to miss shopping at Tower Records " every night of the year 'till midnight!"?

There was nothing like pulling records out of boxes on new release day and then walking over to the side wall to pick up a few Maxell XLII 90s (or TDK SA90s) to put them onto so you could walk around and listen to them. There was a happiness about carrying a record home that you could never get from buying a cassette or a CD, and most definitely not by downloading or streaming. Even if they let they let the old Tower Records building on Durant get used for other purposes, the sign in front should have been landmarked.

I seem to remember the Straw Hat Band also playing "Take On Me", "Make Me Lose Control", "Carry On Wayward Son", and "Rolling In The Deep" at basketball games.

For what seems like a bunch of years now I regularly hear "Crazy Little Thing Love" by Queen, you know, with the great trombone slide. I don't recall "Fat Bottom Girls" by Queen much at all.

Waiting for 2nd Trumpet Bear to weigh in here. In the meantime...

Some classics from long ago include "Free Ride" and "Make Me Smile". Other staples included "Smoke on the Water", "She's Not There", "Sing Sing Sing" and "The Letter". One of my all-time personal favorites was "See Me-Feel Me/Listening to You".
