Her choice. She got into Cal but chose USC based on how she was treated by the respective undergrad business schools. It looks like she will be working for Google or Deloitte. So much for the accuracy of the insults and hate posted on this board. Oh, and she loved her 3 1/2 years there so far. But I did steadfastly refuse any decals on my car or apparel and sat in the Cal section at the two games at the Coliseum. She plans on getting her MBA at Haas.

Told mine as they were growing up they have a lot of choices, and the choice is theirs, but U$C is the only choice that is not one. Gives them hundreds and hundreds with but one eliminated. Makes you one hell of a lot open minded than me, but one out of the number of choices ain't bad. Bet a lot on here reflecting on how controlling that is would not allow a charismatic religious college in the south as a choice.

Like Utah a lot, but USC matches up well with them--remember sputtering Sark had the game won before an awful playcall on 4th and 1 gave Utah the chance to come back and win.

Trojans are due for a breakout game. Showed some spark against Notre Dame.

Congrats. Sounds sensible all around.

Congrats to you for raising a daughter who can make her own decisions.
Congrats to her for obviously taking advantage of the opportunity.

I am a BIG Cal fan; but I disagree. It makes sense for UCLA to be favored over Cal. Playing at home where Cal has had a lot of trouble winning favors ucla.
Playing at Cal, Cal would be favored.

That said I still think Cal has a good chance to pull out a "W" and Cal Fan half of my brain says Cal can win big. But the "realist" half of my brain says it would be an upset for Cal to win.

+1. I have to agree with you. We face a tough battle on Thursday. If we've recovered physically, if Lasco can go the whole game, if we can put a stop to Perkins' rushing, we have a mighty good chance here. Otherwise, I don't like our chances. Vegas says the Bruins by 3, which means on a neutral field it's a toss-up. Let's neutralize the field!!!!

It will be SC taking away Booker and daring Wilson to pass vs. Utes pummeling the entire SC O. The SC WRs will survive the manhandling well enough to eke out a win. This one will be brutal. If Utes hit Kessler more than once, all bets are off.

Are we talking about the SC that hasn't had much luck stopping the run all season? Remember that USC appears to have significant depth problems on the DL and in the LB corp.

Those 35 year olds are going to get winded chasing the U$C speedsters in the open field. Advantage U$C.

The Trojies will sell out to stop the run. They may not be successful, but that's what they will do - try to take away what a team does best and dare them to beat you with your weakness.

Knowing their passing isn't that great, UU will try to beat the crap out of the SC front seven, investing in strong running in the 2nd and 4th 1/4s. They will also try to beat the crap out of the SC O, all of them.

But the Utah players have higher hematocrits and hence higher oxygen carrying capacity. Advantage Utes.

Based on the undergrad business degree and Deloitte reference, Haas is a waste of money. Go to Harvard or Wharton (or even the Furd). Depending on the "business" aspect, Stern is also appropriate (Love Hasbrouck).

I can see an $c upset; however, the arguments here haven't been persuasive. Item: $c will sell out to stop the run and Utah can't pass. Like no one else figured that out before and $c is the first team to try to stop Utah's running game? Item: $c is due...what in hell does that mean? Because a team has lost some games means they should win the next one? Item: $c's only bad loss was to UW. Uh, and their "good" win was ASU; otherwise they've beaten BCS-bound Arkansas State and perennial powerhouse Idaho.

No doubt that $c has the talent to win the game, but I still see Utah as the logical favorite.

USC might sell out on the run but the Utah zone read and option pitch is always good for some fun watching.
