Have they ever tried a game where you could just hear crowd noise but no announcers? I'd pay extra for that.

Can someone find the e-mail address for Ted "Stanfurd" Robinson?

This is actually a serious problem that has gone on for too long. There are way more Cal fans then Stanfurd fans in the bay area and Teddy boy has offended all of us.

Let's flood his inbox and more importantly his bosses in box with complaints about his mistreatment of Cal and sickeningly openly rooting for Stanfurd. While I think about it, phone numbers would be great as well.

NBC broadcast a Jets-Dolphins game in December 1980 without announcers. I watched part of it; it was interesting.

The thing is that sometimes you like to hear the game as well and I like Glen Parker.
It's funny how often Glen remained silent while Ted was blabbering.

The best thing about having Ted on the broadcast was hearing Ted's voice break when furd lost to Oregon.

Yep, I thought Jefferson should have been flagged for targeting. He could have avoided the unfortunate hit on OSu's second string QB Mitchell by extending his arms.

That's not the point.
The point is did T. Rob think that Shayne Skov should have been ejected with his hit against Goff in 2013. He is not exactly objective.
joe amos yaks

Skov's hit is not relevant to yesterday's game. IMO Jefferson should have been flagged for targeting...intentional or not...and no matter the opinion of any commentator. What commentator is "objective"? And it happens that his opinion was correct, though overstated. BTW--I like TRob's work.

OK Robbie's call may have been correct and you like his work. What does that have to do with his pro furd/anti Cal bias?

You may have answered your own question...bias-schmias. I can live with TRob's "biased comments" as well as those of ESPN and the PAC-12 TV. Many Buckeyes' fans made a career of complaining about Craig James "bias against" tOSu throughout the Coach Tressel years. It was a good point, but a I wasted effort.

Therefore, I respectfully refuse to sign your petition.

Well that is not surprising considering you like his work.
I used to back when he was doing the 49ers. He still is but his work other places has exposed me to other aspects of his work.

Honestly, Joe, it took a lot. I was actually a big Robinson fan, having watched him do tennis and other things as well.
Unfortunately I don't have actual instances in memory to list for you. And it would be hard and time consuming to research this.
I hope you can understand that I had no bias against him to start with and it took multiple outrageous comments and incidents to make me form my current view. So, in my opinion, he earned it. Maybe someday you will experience the same thing. Otherwise we will have to agree to disagree, knowing that it could be more of a difference in experience than a difference of opinion.

What play were you watching? He did lead with his arms and then his helmet met the QB's helmet. That is not targeting and targeting was not called. Learn the rules!

You should be able to transfer from a computer to a monitor via an HDMI cable. But the monitor has to be "smart" I believe. Maybe not. Ask your guy at Best buy about it. Does your "big screen" have an HDMI cable hook up?

I thought it was borderline, about the same as azeem victor's hit on Kessler that got him a targeting foul. of course victor had just had that ugly elbow drop on lawler the week before that probably contributed to the refs watching his play a little closer. I don't think that Jefferson has that reputation. could maybe see the refs watching Jefferson a little closer this week, but I think that's the first hit ive ever seen from him that could be construed as possibly dirty and hes a 3 year starter. when youre not a dirty player though, you get those borderline calls. but it wasn't a no doubter targeting call that you make it seem like

It's hard to tell much from that picture. I do think there was some helmet to helmet contact, but Jalen wasn't leading with his head. Because there was helmet to helmet, I think it could have been called, to be honest. Now it wasn't as clear cut as Robo Furd would like us to believe. That and the stupid inconclusive comment in the face of Glenn Parker's remarks that the ball clearly was out before his knee was down -- is pure d-baggery by Robo Furd.
joe amos yaks

Wonderful color photo, but it's hard to tell contact from this image.
Very likely helmet to helmet contact has already occurred since the QB is looking out through his helmet's ear hole.
Was it intentional or intent chest to chest, that's not my call.
Accidental or incidental TRob also commented on that to excess.
However, Jefferson could have extended his arms before impact, and therefore..."Flag!"

Watched a little bit of the encore on P12N to catch whatever I missed from the stands.
1) Not targeting but it was at least close. Teddy might have been seeing the play through Cardinal-colored lenses, but I could understand why a commentator would make such a statement, especially when a player in injured as a result.
2) I was more stunned by his insistence that OSU didn't fumble on the kick return in the second half. They visited the replay several times while the play was being reviewed and they found the perfect freeze frame that shows the ball coming loose while the knee is off the ground. Sorry if this is a booth, but the fact that the refs didn't reverse the call and Teddy continued to assert that it's "not conclusive" was simply insulting to the human eye.

For the record, I've found TR off-putting for some time now. It's like watching Joe Buck try to be impartial when he's calling a St. Louis game.
