I don't get Ted Robinson. The guy is a Notre Dame grad who has, for years now, maintained a colossal tailgate in the Master's Grove at Stanford, which I thought was one of the premier tailgating spots for big money Buck/Cardinal Club donors. Is / was he a Stanford-funded announcer before his Pac-12 network commitment? I don't get his deep and abiding Furd fellating.

From Wikipedia -

"[Robinson] was the radio voice of Stanford football for 13 years, has broadcast Notre Dame football and basketball, University of Minnesota basketball, and University of California basketball."

Having Ted Robinson announce Cal football, is similar to what it would sound like if Joe Kapp was announcing Stanford football broadcasts....amusing if you're a Cal fan, but aggravating if you were a furd fan....come to think of it, that would be fun.

Wonderful color photo, but it's hard to tell contact from this image.
Very likely helmet to helmet contact has already occurred since the QB is looking out through his helmet's ear hole.
Was it intentional or intent chest to chest, that's not my call.
Accidental or incidental TRob also commented on that to excess.
However, Jefferson could have extended his arms before impact, and therefore..."Flag!"

your flat out wrong

Watched a little bit of the encore on P12N to catch whatever I missed from the stands.
1) Not targeting but it was at least close. Teddy might have been seeing the play through Cardinal-colored lenses, but I could understand why a commentator would make such a statement, especially when a player in injured as a result.
2) I was more stunned by his insistence that OSU didn't fumble on the kick return in the second half. They visited the replay several times while the play was being reviewed and they found the perfect freeze frame that shows the ball coming loose while the knee is off the ground. Sorry if this is a booth, but the fact that the refs didn't reverse the call and Teddy continued to assert that it's "not conclusive" was simply insulting to the human eye.

For the record, I've found TR off-putting for some time now. It's like watching Joe Buck try to be impartial when he's calling a St. Louis game.

On 2)...ball was clearly out. I mean, clear as clear. It was completely conclusive. The color guy was like, oh yea ball is out. It just goes to show how important the call is on the field.

Is there a video of this play somewhere?
