And in the speculation department... Goff leading the band in fight for california at the end looked a lot like a guy saying goodbye to his last game at CMS. What a way to finish.

What was Graham doing with clock management? Hoping to block to the kick?

Calling it now: after scoring tds on the last 5 possessions, Cal will play for a fg here and then miss it.

The tale of two teams ... what did Sonny say at half-time ... he lit a fire in their bellies.
Art Kaufman has done it again ... the D was great at BBDB.
Buried in the RB depth chart, Tre and Khalfani have risen to the top.
Signature win, this one ... doomed at half, Palms of Victory at the end.

I was wondering the same thing. I was very happy to watch the clock run down at that point. Plus, he didn't call his last time out before the kick. Strange, to say the least.

I wouldn't call my last TO either. When you call the TO the kicker then knows you have no more to freeze me. On the other hand if you still have it the kicker isn't sure if you're going to call it or not.

When was the last time you saw a kicker getting carried off the field??

Well, there was really no opportunity to leave in the 2nd half. I will admit, while the losers in this thread were moaning in the 1st half, I was plotting an end-of-3rd Qtr exit if we were behind by more than a TD because I'm kind of a wuss in the cold (unless I'm snowboarding) and it obviously didn't feel like Cal could make a game of it. Like it was mentioned above, in the 3rd Qtr when we were scoring TDs and ASU was settling for field goals, I had this optimistic feeling that we could win it. I didn't think that we were going to choke it away. When the offense is clicking we have reason to be optimistic. Other notes:
I admit when Goff pooched it I was one of the people booing. It really felt like Dykes was surrendering.
Although there was a lot of pressure, I was in shock how good the pass pro was. There were plays where he had a ton of time to go through his progressions.
Although Goff was on fire in the 2nd half, all game long he was throwing a lot of balls that were slightly off-target, forcing receivers to dive for balls and give up what would have been big YAC gains. Still, he had the game of his life, with scrambling for 1st downs several times, a nice 2-pt conversion, and some slick sack-avoiding moves.
Looks like Chad Hansen will do a nice job as one of the guys picking up the slack with Davis, Harris, Powe, Treggs, and Anderson all moving on.
Rubenzer played with a lot of heart. I've seen so many times defenders running down the field as a guy was headed for the end zone and never make that last diving tackle attempt when they appeared to be in range. You could tell Rubenzer used every ounce of his strength and ability to stop several breakaways.
Anderson kept kicking these high short kick-offs and I was screaming for them to kick a line-drive. Finally they kick a line drive and it bounced exactly as you would hope. But then on the next kick-off they were back to same old routine. I don't get it.
I can't remember the last time I saw such an exciting game at Memorial (I missed the Colorado game last year). It must have been the 2012 UCLA game (which turned into a blowout), or the 2009 Arizona game. They are so few and far-between.
Oh and I was one of the people who predicted a 7-5 season. :p
