Got the media guides out and am wracking my brain. Tavechio had one at the end in Tempe about 5 years ago, but nothing at home rivals this since triple overtime in 2003.

Wow good memory, so we did ASU 2X like that.

Last year (we weren't behind in OT but we walked off):

Didn't Pat Barnes set his passing TD record in all those overtimes against ASU as well?

Not quite at the gun, but against the same team in 2009 in Tempe. Tavecchio puts Bears ahead of Sun Devils 23-21 with 21 seconds left.

In 2011 we did come from behind to beat Buffs in Boulder 36-33 on a Maynard to Allen fade on the last play, but that was in OT.

Edited to add: oh yeah, vs. CU last season, but that was also in OT.

Obviously Tyler Fredrickson beat USC in 2003 in 3 OTs, but Cal was tied, not behind, before his kick.

Can't remember the last time we went from behind to ahead on the last play of the game in Memorial. The last time that springs to mind is that even crazier, Dave Barr-led comeback in 1993 against Oregon (one of the biggest comebacks in NCAA history, Cal was down 30-0 at one point and won 42-41).

Still looking, but you might be right that the last time was Barr to Caldwell in 1993.

Yeah there haven't been too many where we go from behind to ahead at the gun *in Memorial*. Just going from memory, I can't remember one in the last 25 years other than 1993 vs. the Ducks. (And of course tonight vs. ASU).

Of course, there was this one time in 1982... funny story...

We were down in 1991 @ Arizona and I believe Pawlawski lead us on our final drive for a game winning long field goal by Doug Brien. I recall beating UCLA like that later in the year, but not sure if it was last second.

Wow that's interesting that it doesn't happen much like this. I do know Robbie Keane was a little snake bit as his game winning FG was blocked by Tuan Van Le in 1988 (Big Game) as well as I believe in 1990 as well v. $C. I know the BG was a tie, and I recall that the $C game was too.

Right on KAB, though as I think you noted, the two in your first paragraph, @Zona and @UCLA were both on the road. It really hasn't happened much at Memorial.

2014 vs. CU, 2003 vs. SC, but both of those final plays started with the Bears tied. And both in OT, not that that matters.

I'm sure there are others, but 1993 vs. Oregon and of course 1982 vs. Furd Band (and now 2015 vs. ASU) are the only times I can think of that Cal went from behind to ahead on the final play to win at Memorial.

I should have clarified my obsessive/compulsive criteria. Over times are out because they necessarily start as ties and longest drive is 25 yards. I think the Bears started the winning drive tonight inside the 30.
And using the final play is extreme, so how about within the last two minutes.
And I am still mad about the 1988 Big Game. We were having our way on the last drive and could have punched it in for 6 but then got conservative to set up the field goal which never came.
I know my therapist is tired of hearing about it.

I believe the `1972 Big Game was won on the last play. The pass to Sweeney in the end zone.
