We need to make football helmets from vibranium, which can absorb all the impact and force ... The stuff they used to make Captain America's shield. Apparently, most of the stuff is found in Wakanda

Get it done ....

Great maybe the Cal D can use some of that vibranium especially in short yardage situations.

This is a double edged sword......
Athletes may use the data to become better athletes.
Owners may use the data against an athlete.
"Sorry, you may be fast and have hands of glue, but your DNA says we may only get 16.6 games out of you in 2 years. Instead of the $10M you're asking. we're gonna give you $800K."
That is why the NFLPA eliminated the hit tracking/concussion sensor system.

Cheers!

Nice. Players association protecting the players....

That is a HIPAA issue but it is also a safety issue. If they require that to be eliminated, then the NFL should require them to sign a waiver releasing them of all culpability with regard to head trauma.

I think that there should be serious study done at the NFL level to determine the risk and decide what mitigations are required. You do not need to remove all risk - just understand them and then let the players decide for themselves. Players should have the right to waive out of a game with no financial repercussions.

"Kacyvenski was drafted by the Seahawks out of Harvard in 2000 and played seven years in the NFL before returning to his alma mater for business school. "So I had this before and after snapshot around the ability to be able to think through complex solutions," Kacyvenski says."

Anyone who's returned to grad school after a few years away from academia knows you've lost some of your academic astuteness. It's age. I'm hoping these guys solving concussion issues will turn their attention to solving the aging problem. Quickly.

The sensors measured hits greater than a certain magnitude (G-force).
Not a HIPPA violation as it was a statistic like sacks for loss, yds/carry, etc.
Info was intended to protect players, but it was seen as a liability for players as well.
The argument was that the sensors weren't accurate.
They are accurate, but the argument prevailed.
