Sonny said that Rubenzer requested a move back to QB and took reps there during bowl prep. He'll be in the mix at QB in the spring.

At this point, he's the most experienced QB on our roster, by far. Even if he doesn't end up getting the starting job, we should use him in certain situations like we did two years ago.

Except that he can't pass.... there's always that to consider.

Who does this leave coming back at Safety?
With Experience: Drew, Piatt (is he healthy and returning?), Vanderbilt, Brown (hardly played)
Blueshirts: McCrary,
Nickel: Turner, Rambo, Coleman (was he injured, hardly played late in the year?)
I would expect some of the nickel backs to move to Safety.

Didn't Walker play a lot at nickel? He returns, right?

Drew
Piatt
Turner
Rambo
Vanderbilt
Brown
Greathouse
McCrary
Drayden (incoming frosh)
Coleman and Walker are nickels. I'd be surprised if Turner and Vanderbilt stay there unless the depth is so strong that it's the best way they see the field as sophs.
Safety should not be a concern.

He wasn't off the depth chart or moved off the position.

You don't lead a state champion vs good comp with otherworldly passing numbers if you can't pass.

They won't pick a guy to start who can't pass at the P5 level.

Luke's a competitor. You can't teach having a fire in the belly and doing whatever it takes to be on the field. He reminds me a bit of Mike Pawlawski.
