Hahaha. Najee Harris would be a great cornerstone of our class. If we could somehow get him to commit and help us recruit, he could certainly move the needle and help deliver a top-10 class for 2017. I don't want to get my hopes up ...

I hear that Banks is big time; plays hoops too which speaks to his athletic ability. However, I can think of a few more guys locally besides Salem that could set the standard for Banks---Ted Albrecht Vallejo, Dave Zawatson Concord YVHS, Tarik Glenn Oak BoD, Jeremy Newberry Antioch, and Langston Walker, Oak BoD to name a few.

Nice to see that Sonny is offering two running backs that have committed to Alabama for next year. Najee reminds me a little of Marshawn and Cam Akers reminds me of Ezekiel Elliott.

Sonny just offered two more 2017's: Jaelan Phillips, Redlands OLB/DE 6.5" 240 4.62 with really good hands and Alan Ali, 4* ESPN 300 OT from Ft Worth TX, 6'5" 275. Busy today.

I would like to see Cal visit ECHS for a spring practice day. Nice local outreach. 5,000 went to see the VISITING BAND practice at Kennedy High this last season.
It has nothing to do with the fact that their just completed, $40 million sports facility is 95% of the concept I presented/proposed (with no support from their idiot AD) 12 years ago.

Brandon McCartney grew up in Berkeley, California, and attended high school at Albany High in Albany.
