What should have impact is conviction and incarceration.
I find that punishment analogous to those shouting for stripping a public employee of their pension for a crime committed in the present day. Why should someone lose something they've earned for, say, 25 years, for a crime committed in year 25? I realize that "going after one's assets" includes a person's retirement.
But stripping him of his Heisman is even worse. The dude earned the Heisman and his merit earning it stands on its own.
