Michigan: Scout.com reports that former Baltimore Gillman High School (MD) head coach Biff Poggi will join the Michigan staff as an assistant head coach in charge of special projects, football operations director Rick Finotti has moved to defensive analyst, and assistant operations director Anthony DeFeo has been promoted to the head operations role. Poggi's son plays on the Michigan team, and a former player of his signed with the Wolverines earlier this month.


Cal have spare staff positions..."special projects"....like this?

I am going to go look at the titles of the fb dept staff, but I hope not!

Poggi signed to UM 3 years ago... and the player who signed this year is just a 3* lineman. hardly reason to give a guy a job.

Neuheisel did this a few years ago.

Harbaugh makes many more good decisions than bad ones. Its about scoreboard and bowl games. Harbaugh had a very good first year. Whatever he is "at" I'd like our coaches to get at.

he deserves ridicule for many things. I don't think this is one of them. I can only wish for a Cal HC to have as much to show for in Year 1 as Harb. shoot, or even JT in Year 1, but I digress.
