In another class it was like one receiver in two years, then we had no safeties and only a couple corners in two classes. Three years ago we had the worst defense in the nation. This year we only got one linebacker

It is no surprise, given the demographic, that transferring is becoming more and more the rule and not the exception. Loyalty (even of the familial kind) will usually not be what motivates the millennials in the decisions that they make. They are just different, and we will have live with it. Bashing the coaches or otherwise trying to view their behavior through the lens of past generations' values is pointless. We valued loyalty over self-expression. The young people today don't. It's as simple as that.

Damm coaches are all millennials! Always chasing the money! No loyalty to the school or the fans and kids! Damm them!! Young people suck! Specially players that graduate and decide to transfer, they suck! They are slow, undersized and all that other shayt! Who needs them anyway!

I travel throughout the country and the nicest, most respectful adults and young people are certainly not here. Go visit, Atlanta, Nashville, and the research triangle in North Carolina. Much better places to live with quality of life than 90% of this state.

I can't believe that people are going to question his decision given that he might want to play for the person who contributed half his DNA. Cal is a school, a state institution (a great one), but it isn't flesh and blood. Try not to forget that.

He had a pro job. only way Hardy Sr goes back to the college ranks is cause someone like Lovie that he has a deep relationship with says come work with me. ie NO WAY Kaufman and Dykes can talk him into being LB coach at Cal

I think that this Sr's first DC job right? He has always been a position coach right? Maybe he is cutting his teeth before getting his own D1 gig. Don't think he would have taken a position coaching slot in a D1 school imho

He was LB coach for a pro team. He had a job. MAYBE he would take a DC job with someone he didn't know but I highly doubt he would take a position coach job. But yes. Time to move on

I grew up in San Bernardino. Graduated from the same high school there as my Grandmother. The idea that "lack of respect" or "go with the flow" has anything to do with the issues in San Bernardino or, more amazingly, Hardy Nickerson, is one of the dumbest things I've ever read on this board. Some Captains have class, stick with it, lead, teach.
Other 'captains' don't. Their names should be removed from any list of captains as they failed the peers who elected them.

Well, after reading this thread, I'm just waiting for IR to delclare for the NBA draft, at 11:59 PM Sunday Night.

This whole transfer thing makes me sick. I'm talking about all the transfers in all sport relating to Cal. When has
even one really helped us. Yes Cobb in Men's hoops. Any other? Womens hoops any transfers in didn't contribute
a thing. (Dunn and Waters come to mind.) We got hurt big time with outgoing transfers. (Jefflo, the Belgian, Bri Cav.)
How about Softball, the Tenn duo--big strikeout. Overall I'd say all transfers in all sports are on the negative side
all time for Cal. Maybe some of you can come up with transfers that benifited Cal either in or out.
