It's decent but I agree intermezzo was the best

Had it at their Santa Monica location. Not bad, but I do miss intermezzo and their massive salads.

It's hilarious that Oscar's was replaced by something that's the opposite of Oscar's in every possible way....

You know if eating organic rabbit food was a sure way to live longer, and it was proved to be safer and healthier, I'd eat it every meal. That's not the case however.

Certainly you want to avoid unnecessary pesticides and additives, and the list of very bad pesticides is long...but there are some "reasonable" pesticides and even those allowed within the definition of organic. It's a conceptually a reasonable idea that organic is better for you (less harmful stuff, good) but there's no proof it's healthier or better for you.

Any way, Oscar's was okay...but won't miss it. Not going to the new place either. Oh well.

Oscars was okay but I won't spill any tears as I would if say, the Smokehouse was replaced by a Veganhouse or something.

As for Intermezzo, they had the absolute best poppy seed dressing in the world. Anyone every able to recreate something close to that dressing? share the recipe if so!

1) IMO, the coolest thing about Oscar's was the building itself, which is still intact so I don't see any big loss. Always thought the food was mediocre.

2) Both Intermezzo and Raleigh's are opening up soon.

In other Berk commercial news, Games Of Berkeley on the corner of Central and Shattuck is moving to Telegraph, opening up perhaps the most prime storefront downtown. Hope they add to the growing restaurant scene.
