Did y'all see him last year? He was a turnstile. He was lauded as a potential pre season all American there last year and he ended buried on the depth chart.

Regardless I wish him well and hope it's changed for him (he's done this year anyways so we won't see him in 2017)

Number one reason is that his Dad took the DC position there and he wanted to experience playing for him his last year. It was a family thing, not a dissatisfaction-with-Cal thing. Graduating enabled him to transfer right away.

Tagaloa is very tall with very long arms and long legs great upper body strength and ran the basketball court well in high school. I don't think he was well suited for OL, especially in this offense with a 2 Pt stance--it is like a grown man trying to block little kids--only works if they run at you--but they don't--they run around you and you get caught reaching. I really wanted to see him tried out at TE or DE where his length and upper body strength would be more of an asset. Great kid and hard worker--hate to lose guys like that.

A statue is even more of a liability at DE than on the o-line. Guard is probably his best position.

Which is what the staff wanted to move him to and prompted the transfer and where he ended up last year at AZ (and buried on the depth chart)
