Would have to agree with this. Why should we be kept dangling? Take players who want Cal. Note that CDM is the heart of $C territory in the OC too.

SC seems to want whoever UCLA doesn't take and vice-versa. But Chase doesn't seem to want UCLA so for him its likely between SC and Cal if SC offers him.

Also it seems pretty clear that we don't have a quarterback that is naturally drawn to us as a first choice this cycle, likely for a variety of reasons ranging from uncertainty over our consistency to the fact that we already have four QBs on scholarship not including Davis Webb.

USC insiders are saying they're waiting on Sears as the #1 choice. If he doesn't go to USC then they'll make a run at their #2 option who appears to be Alabama commit Tua Tagovailoa. After that who knows...probably Garbers I would imagine is in that group.

I'm not sure where you heard that but that's 1,000% false... I'm a Cal Bear hands down, USC hasn't offered and why would I leave Cal. Cal is a tremendous place at all angles. If USC offered that would be sweet cause it's a home town school but at this point it would take a natural disaster to wipe out Cal or something really drastic for me to change my mind! I don't mean to offend the USC program in any way by saying this but I'm a Cal Bear, a Cal Quarterback and I'm trying to build my class to be the best! I'm all Cal.

Well, I don't get to go to Garbers or in BB Matthews, so unless someone dispels those rumors over time you don't necessarlly believe them, but combining a lot of dots you may guess at things. I didn't hear anybody saying it was true. Just hearing. So the more you, MB, disseminate, the more we know, the less we guess. Until confirmed or denied there is reason to question. But yes, rumors they are.

Things I can't figure is that Matthews was in the sweet spot at Cal. He was to be a senior, a much valued player, much loved by Cal fans (myself included), with the prospects of a great senior year. Somehow that crashed. Can you tell me emphatically that Matthews, all by himself, just up and wanted to leave Cal in his senior year when he was a highlight player? And if he did, can you even admit that it is a bit implausible to those who are not in "the know". In that you do know, I realize it is not up to you to reveal all, but at the same time don't make light of Cal fans who "wonder out loud". I hope you can appreciate that.

Now, I for one, do not like that, for I think our BB program is on a tremendous upswing with CM (and I loved MM too). But I am on a Bear "Insider" network and we just don't discuss the real "why". Your stage, your call, but I don't have to like it. So do what you've gotta do, but I have hung here back from early Cyberbears days and really just want to know what is going on at my alma mater.

Jordan wanted to join his dad--get a grad degree. He is not athletic enough to make it at the next level and instead wants to become a coach so in the following year he will be the GA. He will have played for multiple great coaches and that will be great on his resume. He will have a B.A. from Cal and an M.A. from Gonzaga all paid for through basketball. Smart for him, kinda sucks for us, but we will be over it a year from now. This is his life.

Jonah made his own decision. I am fairly certain it is a matter of a guy from L.A. want ing to stay in L.A.

100% inaccurate, j mat thinks he has nba potential & that playing for mark few & his godfather in spokane will help him achieve that...there were also family issues with he cal staff
