Maybe a Booth, but the rumor Blondies has plans to close are false. They were sold, but plan to remain next to the Cal campus. New ASUC bookstore sucks!! They are rude, overpriced and have no room to try stuff on. There is not an ounce of decor other than the script Cal built into the building. They have a pillow that's actually well done with a montage of things Cal. But instead of a script Cal, it says "Berkeley." Stupid idea, IMO! I prefer Bancroft clothing or the Follet store on Bancroft across the street from the new ASUC. Follet student store had a fitting room and polite people on the floor that are very helpful. In addition a couple of flat screens adorn the store:gobears:

It was the Blondie's in SF that had the roach problem, not the Berkeley location.

The Chronicle reported that the San Francisco location was closing then it reported that the Berkeley location was closing, too, based on a review of Yelp.

The Daily Cal actually did some reporting and found that they were remodeling. See the above link.

That's too bad. It would be better for the community if thy just closed.

Come on guys why would you want that for a Berkeley icon like Blondies? Ive seen so many memorable businesses close on telegraph losing Blondies would be a big milestone in my opinion. Heidelbergs eclaire intermezzo codys (of course) the print mint (!) La vals (Durant) Larry Blake's Berkeley market Shakespeare and co berkel berkel..yarmo zone..I'm old, sentimental, and have no standards, what can I say.
