I know this point has been made in other threads, but going back and watching highlights from last year, Cal could REALLY have used Demariay Drew this year. Here's hoping the new safeties can play well. :gobears:

He will graduate and play in the NFL.
I wish him the all the best.

The top 4-5 guys at safety now ...

Vanderbilt
Rubenzer (I can see 3-4 Ints)
Rambo
Psalms
Anderson

If we get QB pressure the Dbs will shine

It all starts and ends with the line OL and DL. If we can get pressure and it is consistent we will do fine. Give the QB time to pick us apart and it will be a LONG season.

Blitz, blitz and stunt often please!

It's too bad. A healthy Drew is an all-conference safety candidate.

I agree. There is usually at least one really devastating injury that comes out of fall camp. We've been lucky the past two years in that regard, but our devastating loss came last year. I thought he was the player we could least afford to lose. Hopefully the others step up.

He was one of those underrated recruits out of Livermore that had elite athleticism but little football experience. Tedford brought him in as a late add.
