Just look at the recent case of the playboy model who took a body shaming picture of a plus-size woman at her gym naked...and then posted it on snapchat. That alone can land her in the clink for 6 months for "unlawful dissemination of private images". The SC case is, shall we say, a bit more extreme. And who knows? Perhaps the video shows her giving affirmative consent (despite the xanax, booze and pot provided by the SC players)....but I'm a tad skeptical this was the case.

Obviously, intercourse with someone who is not conscious is not consensual. If the facts support a conviction for sexual assault then the perpetrator(s) should face the consequences. I am very sensitive to the rights and the vulnerabilities of women. However, there is no reason to rush to judgement. If and when the young man is charged with a crime then he will be entitled to his constitutional right to defend himself. In the meantime, he should be allowed to go on with his life.

What is odd about this story is it happened twice between the two in two different states. Why would she be hanging out with the guy 2 weeks after he raped her? I'm not saying the guy is innocent, but that part of the story makes me question if there is more to the story.

Close last two seasons maybe this year is the one we break through

Thinking a (basically) one-game suspension was ridiculously light for stomping on another player's groin, I finally went back and looked at the video. It wasn't as bad as I had anticipated: The Bama guy on the ground had sorta been pinning the $C guy's foot between his arm and body and so the $C guy placed said foot in the guy's groin and stepped/pushed. Now, I'm not arguing that that was okay, but it was more of a one-game suspension thing, as opposed to if he had raised his leg up and really stomped down.

Osa Masina charged with three felonies today. One count of first degree rape, two counts of forcible sodomy. This is in Utah, first degree felonies carry sentences of five years to life.
