Don't know about y'all, but I'm numb to the fact that most of the big-time bowls will feature "two programs I'm not rooting for". Though I was pulling for Iowa to beat the furd in last year's Rose Bowl.

What's to love about Barbour? She shutdown McIntyre in favor of Dykes. Wouldn't even meet with McIntyre. Barbour also shutdown Room Rivera after he described being the football headcoach position at Cal as his dream job.

She had nothing to do with hiring the PSU coach.

I don't credit Sandy Barbour with Penn State reaching the Rose Bowl, more so than the institution itself. Penn State, as an institution, prioritizes reaching the Rose Bowl and allocates the requisite resources to accomplish that goal. When the University of California makes that a goal and allocates the requisites resources, then we'll be in business.

Fun fact: USC's first appearance in the Rose Bowl, in 1923, was against Penn State.

The few persons involved in the pedo cover up are long gone, when are we going to keep denigrating them for it. They've addressed the matter and righted the ship in ways many schools wouldn't have.

Stronly disagree. As someone mentioned, they honored Paterno recently. Based on my observations, a large contingent of the Alumni base STILL believes that the Freeh report and all the evidence linking Jo Pa and university administration to the reprehensible inaction and failure to protect innocent children is some sort of conspiracy to bring down the university. A significant portion of the alumni and fans are simply delusional and don't get it. When they give up and realize their attitudes are what enabled this to continue, I'll let them try to forget about this ugly part of their history. I don't see that happening any time soon. The Penn State apologists are almost as bad as Sandusky himself and we shouldn't let them forget that. They created the culture that let this happen.
