Okay, bad title since I don't know excrement about most things.

But I just got a friend request from Steve Alford. I'm admittedly a terrible Facebook guy, hardly ever checking in (I apologize for missed birthdays, etc.) but I just don't get the Alford connection. Is Cal his back-up plan if things don't go well this season? Is the new business model for I/A to combine teams with UCLA, and if so, who gets top billing (our we the BruBears?). WTF?

Oh THAT! Sheesh, we all got THAT invite, wife. Steve's been reaching out on Facebook trying to enlist a whole army of new "friends" to help him babysit LaVar Ball, which will allow Steve to spend more time focusing on the smaller aspects of his job, such as coaching.

Maybe he needs legal advice?

Did you search for him first? Facebook will list you as a suggested friend for that person if you do. Some people just click the button to send invites to all suggested friends if they are trying to build a network or self promote.

NO never did a search. My wife went to grad school at UCLA - maybe he is just going through the alum list (including spouses). Weird.

BTW, bragging is dropping a coach name of a live person who wins regularly. Can Coach Cal come to dinner?
