Bobodeluxe, "just saying" seems like kind of a strange thing for a Cal fan to say to a bunch of hurting fellow Cal fans while touting Stanford.
Just saying.
Sebastabear - I'd go even further. The past week (ok, 8 days?) is one of the worst such stretches for Cal revenue sports that I can remember, and that's hard to believe considering how many bad stretches Cal revenue sports have had. Aarrgh!
- Cal FB loses Big Game in heartbreaking fashion, making the final game against UCLA a must win and paving the way for Stanford to win the Pac-12 North via tiebreaker.
- Cal MBB goes from up 18 in the 2nd half against #6 Wichita State in Maui to losing all 3 tournament games by double-digits, including a blowout clownstomping at the hands of D2 Chaminade.
- Cal MBB apparently loses much-beloved Theo Robertson from coaching staff.
- Cal FB plays poorly against coach-less UCLA, and the Bruins' backup quarterback crushes the Bears' bowl hopes with a last minute game-winning drive to hand Cal it's billionth straight conference road loss (have not won conference game on road since early 2015).
- Cal FB recruit and potential contributor at a key position next year (NT) Mafi tears Achilles tendon
- FB: Washington beats Washington State, making Stanford Pac-12 North champs.
- FB: Stanford gets high-profile win against Notre Dame.
- Cal FB loses OC Baldwin, probably WR coach Edwards and maybe others to Oregon State.
- Cal FB may lose well-respected DL coach Azzinaro and possibly well-respected OL coach Greatwood to Chip Kelly, the new head coach at UCLA.
Did I miss anything? Good grief.
And yet.... and yet,
Go Bears.
