Kelly stealing Cota from Oregon is impressive. That should scare the Ducks and the rest of the conference.

I was listening to ESPNu today and they were saying that Kelly is installing a 3/4 instead of a the 4/3 that they have had and needs different players. - hence the decommitments which are supposedly primarily based on being told that they are not the perfect fit anymore.

Of course 9 is a huge number.

Not true, we offered Trey Stratford (OT,OC) high 3 star who committed to Stanford on 12/3
Also I would hope we can get Isaiah Johnson to qualify and offer him. He has interest in Cal and no offer. He is a mid 3 star safety. While we are set at safety, we are so injury prone at DB that we could use more depth. We have been under recruiting at that position recently.

Of course we might do better poaching from Oregon. I have not looked into that.

Edit: OK Oregon has 6 decommits since Taggert left, all of them are 4 stars. Most of them offensive skill guys or and/or athletes. It includes a 4 star CB. It looks like the CB might follow Taggert to Florida St. but not everyone is doing that. One WR and one TE have received offers from Cal and they have yet to express interest in any team out of long offer lists. Two other highly rated athletes have received offers from Cal but have greater interest in other teams.
