Oh, give me a break. Based on their look? Their threads? That kinda assumption sucks. My gdd just finished an internship in NYC with Pfizer, has worked her sorry arse to get it in the first place, and convinced PFE they need to look at Gtown student athletes more closely for internships in the future. Hard work, perseverance, not privilege gets you there. She had NO priviledge in this matter other than recognition of G'town as legit like Cal.

Sorry. Fully paid plus housing (use NYU dorms in summer and relatively inexpensive), and she banked in a Roth IRA her max for the year. But yeh, monied as "socal" likes to intimate. Oh, and worked her sorry arse off too, and will probably be offered a full time 2 year post grad job with housing subsidy. But her love for NY diminished in less than the 10 week internship. Little scary getting to Randall Island for soccer practice and games until you figure out the ropes. Looking at Hoboken or Brooklyn as alternatives. Is a SoCal 'burb girl who also absolutely loves G'town. As do I. Maybe the only campus other than Cal that sez "I wanna go back to school even at my age"NYCGOBEARS said:OdontoBear66 said:

Merit may have gotten her the internship, but it sure as hell didn't pay for her to live in NYC for the summer. Unless it was a really well paying internship.
Having lived in NYU dorms I'd say the key word here is relatively - and that being relative to Manhattan.OdontoBear66 said:Sorry.
