Since in both your lifetimes, Cal has lost more football games than we've won, such feelings are perfectly natural: the neural pathways in your brain developed from Cal losing are more "entrenched" than the pathways developed by feelings of well being & excitement resulting Cal winning games.
But don't forget our players, for the most part, did not follow Cal football with the same level of interest as you have before their Cal recruiting focus started. For them, they come with a "clean slate" with respect to Cal's winning or losing. Indeed, their overall football winning vs. losing neural pathways are certainly much more entrenched by the "winning" pathways.
So, put these feelings of foreboding "on the shelf" and use your neocortex to create confident, excited Cal football pathways.
Or, just start drinking until Cal wins the game, then continue in celebration. (See the thread "Because we are all underage drinkers inside"). But since alcohol is a depressant, it will only blur your feelings, and likely leave you more sad than when you started.
