I recently moved and took advantage of the opportunity to do an inventory of my Cal clothing collection. I've actually done some purging in recent years and gotten rid of all the "crying bear" logo stuff that Nike foisted on us.

As of today:

9 Cal short sleeve t-shirts (including a Top Dog T-shirt)
4 long sleeve t-shirts
2 Cal workout shirts
1 Cal workout shorts
1 pair of Cal slippers
1 pair of Cal pajama bottoms
1 Cal zip up hoodie
2 Cal sweatshirts
2 Cal hooded sweatshirts
2 pairs Cal boxers
1 Cal jacket
1 Big C letterman's jacket
1 Cal dog collar with blinking safety lights
1 Cal dog leash
3 Cal quarter zip pullovers
1 Cal heavy duty fleece
1 Cal short sleeve collared polo shirt
4 Cal baseball hats
0 jerseys (not a jersey guy)

When I see it like that. It seems a bit ridiculous, but I know many of you have me beat. FiatLux probably has twice that.

Wow, I'm almost tempted to count/itemize. Almost. LOL.

LOL. I won't even go there! I did just organize by sport and a big "general" section. I feel guilty when I send an item to Salvation Army. Will the recipient know to reply "Go Bears"!

I have 10 of these. I'm wearing one right now. I wear one every day when I'm at home, changing to a new one every so often.

I'm really picky when it comes to shirts.

And these are just so comfortable. I love them. I bought them earlier this year on clearance.

Your collection is almost identical to mine minus the dog stuff.

Whew! I feel better knowing I own less. About 25 t-shirts, but many from bowl games along with those bought (and saved) since the 80s. Favorites? "Booya!" (Doubt anyone has that one), "Marshawn for Heisman", Tie died TedHead, Copper Bowl Sweatshirt 1990, March To Victory T shirt 2004, Poinsetta Bowl (bought in the parking lot for $5 after we lost the game to Utah), Emerald Nut Bowl sweatshirt, 2007 Armed Forces Bowl sweatshirt, and several student made, underground t-shirts made mostly before Stanfurd games. My wife wouldn't let me wear the F--- Stanfurd t-shirt that I cherish. Many more: Socks, rolling duffle, backpack, rain parka, jackets, knit caps, scarf, shoes, sunglasses, watch, coffee mugs, stadium cushion, at least 8 baseball style caps, pens, calendars, stuffed Oski. Dog collar and leash, my Lab's name is "Blue". License plate holder for my license plate "CalFbll" Each of my 5 grandkids have infant and toddler clothing, including cheerleading gear for my two grand daughters. My kids have more of the same. Sadly, I could never buy a pair of Cal Crocks. Don't start me on autographs, footballs, vintage programs, Rose Bowl souvenirs, figurines, or memorabilia. Go Bears!

Got a few items, most notably a Cal script hat with a 'Curley for President' button on it.

My collection is likely a little different from those of the rest of you as mine also contains articles of clothing re the martial arts program at Cal (which is one of, if not _the_ premiere collegiate matrial arts programs in the U.S.).

Aside from that, I have some football and basketball jerseys, lots of caps, random long and short-sleeved t-shirts, some polo shirts, and a number of sweatshirts. I don't believe I have any footwear, sleepwear, or legwear, though.

Oh, I'm sure the rest if you have done the same, but I've also accoutred some of my family members with Cal clothing. Yes, I've also instructed them to reply with a hearty "Go Bears!" when they receive it from someone else. Though, I'd love to be a fly on the wall if a random stranger ever greeted my sexagenarian immigrant mother with a rowsing "Go Bears!" I doubt she'd remember to respond in kind (though, if she did, that would be fantastic!)

Oh, the t-shirts... can't imagine how many. Since I can't throw out Cal stuff, it'a almost a problem. I have a huge t-shirt drawer which I can barely close. And I'm thinking my "vintage" stuff (from when I was a student) is no longer there, but in a bin down the basement.

I have the two "midnight madness" shirts that ducky23 has. And an original "The Play" shirt. One of my oldest and most treasured is a "Screw Stanfurd" shirt. Speaking of...

Does anybody else have the one that has "F*** Stanfurd" written in 15-20 different languages? I was walking to CMS before a game some 10-15 years ago and some guy was selling them and I HAD TO HAVE IT. Still wear it sometimes in public with a piece of tape covering the part in English (as I am a family man now... a veritable pillar of the community).

I have so many t-shirts i cringe at even the thought of more (so I round out my collection with items other than short-sleeve t-shirts). Last year at one of the basketball games, they had a gold-out (or white-out, or blue-out... I forget) and I wore that color and didn't even take the t-shirt. When they throw the t-shirts into the stands, I'm always afraid one is going to hit me in the chest and I'm going to have to take it.

I have a slightly different furd T-shirt. It says "Stanford sucks in any language" then on the back there's like 15 translations of Stanford sucks. In elementary school, it was tradition for me to wear that T-shirt to school the Friday before big game. I think in those days, schools were a lot more lenient on what kids could wear.

Not that much clothing: 2 sweatshirts, a polo, a tee-shirt (the one with the lyrics to Fight for California on the back), 2 or 3 caps, pajama pants.

But other stuff:

License plate frames
Welcome mat
2 Xmas tree ornaments (one script Cal, one University seal)
Santa Cal Xmas tchotchke
BBQ spatula
Bottle opener that plays "Fight for California"
Wind chimes
Jewelry box that plays the Starkey call of The Play when you open the lid
Class ring
Car flags

Can you explain how it is that you only have one Cal tee-shirt?

I am not criticizing... more jealous than anything.

Too many shirts collected over the years. Only have about 10% of my Cal shirts in regular rotation. We do get good use out of the Cal bottle opener.

I remember that shirt! Had one too back in the early 90s when I was in school. I still miss my "Go Bears Go" shirt with the mating bears but, then again, I'm a little old to pull that off these days...in public, at least.

Nowhere near what everyone here has. 6 Cal BB hats, I wear one every day though. One super nice polo for special occasions, 2 Cal long sleeve heavy shirts that don't fit anymore, 3 gray t-shirts.

Hopefully going to add The Play bobblehead this year.

I also had a Big Game short-sleeve t-shirt that said "Stanfurd sucks" on the front and "my Campanile" on the back (right above a picture of the Tree fellating Oski). That was a fun shirt to wear around campus during Big Game week.

used to have the legendary USC/Stanford t-shirt, but it eventually died
(you know the one: "USC sucks" on the front; "but Stanford swallows" on the back)

Several hundred items. Most are t-shirts, but have at least 50 Cal caps.

If you can actually count them all, then you don't have enough. I often find still usable or almost new Cal gear that I thought was missing or had forgotten about in the oddest places (in the trunk of my car, under the sofa, in my kids' bedrooms, in the basement, or in the back of my closet.)

Dozens, but 6 Cal Political Science shirts are my main go-to.
