Malik was the MVP of the Mater Dei basketball team? I found that curious so I put it into the google and don't even see Malik on any of the Mater Dei rosters during his HS years. Maybe JV or something?

I do not know how long McKnight has been doing this, but recently he started a tradition where the whole team is the MVP. So from starting point guard to last guy on the bench, they can refer to themselves as an MVP.
