The appropriate slur is Snodfart. A long time ago, when I was a student and the basketball arena was known as Harmon Gym, the scoreboard in the rafters had the visiting teams name spelled out using movable plastic letters. Some sturdy Golden Bear had rearranged the letters in St*nford's name to SNODFART, which remained throughout the game. ( It was the Kutchen era, so we probably lost).

To this day, I can't think of our rival's name in any other way.
