From what I understand folks on this board had these sentiments and some even fessed up...to their credit. My only other guess (and this is complete speculation)is that UW folks also had these sentiments...and hence his "culture" comment in his postgame presser.

Weaver: perfect example of why our offense would be better with better coaches. We thought every LB two years ago was too slow and didn't tackle well and took horrible angles.

I was excited to get him. Even more excited when we got an upgraded defensive staff to develop and turn him loose.

He is a BALLER. Screw what outside people say.

I'll be the first to admit that he looked like a tweener his first year, too slow for LB, too small for DE. This year, not only was he a monster at LB but when he lined up at DE on some passing downs he was our best outside pass rusher. He's a great player now and should have an awesome senior season.

Instinct can cover for many talent deficiencies, especially if they are not major. My biggest question with Weaver at LB is that his speed seemed marginal.

From his high school film, I thought he was going to be the most important recruit behind only Demetrius Robertson. Fortunately it appears that there are many recruits on the d side that and flat out play.
