Well, I guess I phrased that wrong as I read your reply. My meaning about caring about bonafides was it seems to me that all that is the new norm and acceptance. I am sure she is very proud of her "bonafides" as I called them, and should be.

Both Clemson and Bama could play against the bottom half of NFL teams I think. The "gladiator" based conferences where academics are a much lower priority sure have stolen the show alright. There are some good schools in the PAC. Irrevelancy just can't happen, for Cal, the PAC, and even for CFB in general.

B) I have no idea, except female, young and from the Pasadena area.
C) Every place has standards/criteria, see TCU cheerleader thread, or Trump WH, Sarah Huckabee.

The Big Ten is no slouch academically and they are far stronger on the football field. The problem with the P12 is not the emphasis on academics by the membership. It is the failure to emphasize football. Until the conference gives football the attention it deserves, it will continue to falter....

You can't virtue signal through football but you can through field hockey and beach volleyball. You can make money with football, but making money is evil. Taking money is another thing altogether, though.
