Would it be possible for Ohio State's Haskins to make an instructional video for Garbers?

No. It would violate NCAA rules.

Garbers moves safeties with his eyes. Unfortunately it's right to where he's throwing.

Garbers is a coaching and scheme issue not a talent issue. In fact, the entire offense is a coaching issue.

That's never stopped Ohio State before

Maybe we are going about this the wrong way. For example,
some of those TCU cheerleaders could move those safeties with their eyes.

His throws have not exactly impressed though. Not much zip on really any of his throws. I was surprised by this after hearing such recruiting accolades about him,

Yes, until the Cheez-Its debacle, most of the criticism around Garbers concerned lack of arm talent. Up until then, he was the "safe" QB who minimized errors.

In high school, Garbers looked great with a big arm. He didn't go to a school with a dominant offensive line like Mater Dei, so he moved around and ripped it to receivers, often for long passes. Saw him in person and he was one of those few guys you look at say this guy can do it at the next level.

I don't know if he is just afraid to rip it because of Baldwin and Wilcox are so paranoid about interceptions, they screwed with his mechanics, or what. But Garbers needs to be coached-up. He doesn't have as big an arm as Boller (then who does?), but he reminds of me Boller who was badly coached for a few years until JT came. in and helped him reach his potential. This is one reason I want to see change in the offense coaching staff. Unlike on the defense where multiple guys were able to up their game, Cal has (had?) several highly touted QBs who if anything looked like they regressed.

That is part of the problem. Young QBs make mistakes and you have to coach them up. Good recent examples are Rosen and Darnold, who were turnover prone in their first year (and even lost a game or two by their errors), but didn't have their games minimized into handing off to the same guy up the middle and only safe passes. Admittedly, they were both throwing to a better WR corp, or at least Darnold certainly was.

From my perspective, the QB situation was amateur hour from a coaching standpoint. My guess is they told an unprepared Garbers to finally open it up in the bowl game and suffered the consequences against one of the top defenses in the country.

Shouldn't Garbers be somewhat better prepared to play top defenses? He practices against an even better defense.

Surprised how well Haskins did against a stout Udub defense. Outstanding fundamentals and smart player, but just okay arm for the next level. Be interesting to see how he does in the draft.

I saw Haskins play quite a few games. I didn't think the UW game was one of his best. He is the real deal.

In my opinion, arm strength is seriously overrated (otherwise Jim Druckenmiller would be in the Hall of Fame). I'll take a guy with an average arm if he possesses great vision, leadership, mobility and fearlessness.

Not disagreeing, but you are not a NFL GM, and they seem to love big arms.
