Just when you thought the Pac 12 couldn't be more ridiculous in attempting to solve some of the public concerns with the conference, game times, etc., we now have this: P12 to hire PR firm

Are you hacked off about late-announced starting times and late night games? No problem, one of the PR ideas is to...

Quote:

"Enlist one of comedy's great 'coaches' or 'fans' to star in a digital series that addresses the challenges of last-minute schedule and late games in a way that honors the true commitment of the Pac-12 fan."
Yay us! I can't wait to have my commitment as a Pac 12 fan honored in such a way. I'm sure it will make me feel so much better about the crappy scheduling.

Maybe the PAC-12 should hire the same PR guy that tOSu hired to make everyone feel clinically fuzzy and sympathetic about their jive-asz xCoach Meyer.

If the Pac-12 wants to make us laugh out loud, or just laugh with joy, the best way to do that is to fire Larry Scott.

Brilliant! Maybe Cal Football can hire the PR figure to convince everyone that we had the best passing office in college football these last two years!

It's amazing how many execs, who are totally out of touch & isolated from their customers, think that PR or advertising is the way to fix problems.

Sitting in plush conference rooms, flying in private jets, eating at the most exclusive restaurants, staying in the most expensive suites in the most expensive hotels has become the "Trade Mark" of Scott and his band of yes-men cronies.

On the brighter side, this lunacy can precede the downfall of arrogant empty suites like Scott. It is sometimes the "tipping point" act that finally wakes up the decision makers to realize how badly they are in trouble.

A tennis player from Harvard isn't staying at no Motel 6 and dining at In-and-Out.

I'm still trying to parse this statement. So we want to find the people who are saying neutral to positive things about the Pac 12 (ignoring the people saying negative things???) and then what? Shift their conversation in which direction? More positive??? ****ing asinine. Is there a way I can get in on some of the cash that will be thrown around here?

I have yet to find a better burger than In-n-out's double double. The closest contender is Shake Shack's cheeseburger (whatever it's called), which surpassed Marie Callender's cheeseburger (I was pleasantly surprised by how giod it was when I ate it.)

If Tennis Larry is too bougie to enjoy In-n-out, he really has no place running the Pac-12, where In-n-out is a revered institution for at least four of the schools (if not six or more).

Should be more. In N Out is in Phoenix, Tucson, and SLC now, and they're planning to open in Colorado in about 2 years. Finding a Double-Double is much easier than finding Pac-12 Network.

Pretty much every article I've read about Scott points out that he & his staff are way over the line in expensing lavish travel accommodations. Demonstrates the bad judgement that also results in so many night games. Scott doesn't care about the difficulties families have in going to night games because he's completely blind to the needs of families who aren't jetting around in a private jet, aren't staying at lavish hotels, aren't using chauffeurs for stadium game transportation.
