Not bad for a college walk-on. Didn't he play 8-man football in HS?Cal89 said:
I've been following him too. Even listening when not televised, at least out here... Had like a 16 or 19 yard run last week, the longest one of the game for them. He's giving the 7-rounder from UW a challenge for sure. Go Patrick!

He had 7 tackles in the Panthers game vs. the BillsBear8 said:
anyone know anything about Jordan K?
Went on Twitter last night to see what Fin fans were posting. A number of them hope and predict PL will make the team and a couple or more referred to him as a "Wes Welker out of the backfield."Cal89 said:Yes indeed FW: https://www.sanluisobispo.com/sports/high-school/article221809875.htmlFuzzyWuzzy said:Not bad for a college walk-on. In the process of finding that, I re-found this good read:

Didn't realize he had a Wiki page. I imagine the braintrust here can help build it out more...

Regardless how things settle-out for him in a couple weeks, the guy is a winner in my book. I get the sense he can make the team, and if not the Dolphins, somewhere else...
I remember watching Laird 2 seasons ago and thinking he'd make a good, bigger, slot in the NFL.79 Bear said:Went on Twitter last night to see what Fin fans were posting. Exactly what I was thinking.MoragaBear said:
Too bad he got scoped right before the season last year because he was money as a junior. 1127 yards, 8 td's, 5.9 yards per carry plus 45 catches for 322 yards and another touchdown in 2017.

Laird was ready to move on. Double major and all. He knows football life is short so there is no way he would stick around. His dad told me that.calumnus said:MoragaBear said:

Thanks, why did we not know this last season? He was noticeably hampered compared to the speed he exhibited the year before. Could he have redshirted?
NFL teams could care less how "well" a player "represents any organization." If a linebacker doesn't have the speed, size, reach, strength, etc. needed for coverage assignments & to make plays, they won't play in the NFL, regardless of how well they did in college. NFL receivers, RBs, TE's, OLmen, are an order of magnitude better, faster, stronger, bigger & more difficult to tackle/defeat blocks than what any linebacker sees in college. Plain & simple.Big C said:
As for Jordan K, no way, if he's at 100%, he doesn't make a team.... I don't need to know heights, weights or times in the 40 to know that he can play at that level. The dude is solid, can make any sort of play and will represent any organization well.
I'm quite aware of the fact that "representing the organization well" will not earn somebody a roster spot. Not representing an organization well can lose somebody a spot, however,Bear19 said:NFL teams could care less how "well" a player "represents any organization." Two-point conversion didn't count due to a penalty. He was in though, pretty much untouched as I recall...79 Bear said:
I didn't see it but I read that he also scored the two-point conversion right after this touchdown. Go on Twitter and see all the Dolphins fans insisting that he make the team.
