I am a long-time loyal Cal fan and need your advice.
I will start a solo drive from Washington DC to Los Angeles on Saturday August 31 around noon EST. The Cal-Davis game kicks of at 6:30 PM EST (3:30 PM PST). So, I will be on the road somewhere in the West Virginia or Western Pennsylvania or Eastern Ohio or who knows. I am pretty flexible about my travel path and on the first day I can take any road westward that lets me catch the Cal game.
Does anyone have any suggestions on where to stop (around six hours west of DC) to watch the game (the game is on PAC-12 Network which is not very popular in the East Coast/Midwest)?
If not, does anyone (hello techies!) know how can I listen to the game (the game is on KGO 810 AM) on my car radio or on my I-Phone?
Your help will be acknowledged with a special "gift" bought on my path (Route 66?) or a drink before one of the future Cal games.
Go Bears, Beat the Aggies!
P.S. Staying in DC for Saturday to catch the game is not a good option as I need to get on the road on Saturday mid-day because there is so much to see, and, never enough time.
P.S.S. I would welcome your suggestions on what route to take and what to see across our great country (major cities, National Parks and Monuments?). I did the Coast to Coast drive twice 38 and 37 years ago primarily via the northern highways 90, 80 and 70. I have visited all the 50 states, but, I want to see more of the south. So, this time it is most likely going to be the southern highways 40, 10, etc. I am flexible on what road to take as long as I get to LA in about 10 days. Life is good!
