I thought Coutts was out injured, yet he was our punter in the second half. Was he being punished?

Blind speculation but they might've sent him out there hurt because our punts were so ****ing bad?

So bad we would violate HIPAA? The medical God of regulation

Try getting over it. The more you unnecessarily beat this drum, the greater the risk that you'll come off sounding like a whiney *****.

HIPAA relates to privacy. What does that have to do with playing an "injured" player?

Longhetto had no hiccups vs UC Davis:
Punts of 39, 47, and 54 yds.

UW did seem (from memory) close to blocking 2, maybe 3, punts. So the problem may have been more of lack of proper protection. Or, it was past our punters' bedtimes.

Ragle has almost 2 weeks to fix this before Ole miss. The kick coverage problems before the lightning delay (42 yd KO return, and 19 yd punt return) were patched up completely for the rest of the game.

Must be Baldwins fault.

Totally mis-leading, Coutts is very good punting with a short field ergo his average drops significantly. Yards per punt is not the best metric for punting. Pinning an opponent down insides their 20 or not allowing a return are much better metrics. Coutts excels at that type of punting (as well as distance when field position requires it and it is needed).

FWIW.

Not worth much, for this game at least.

Coutts' 1st punt from UW 36 could have pinned them deep inside the 10. Instead, only 18 yd punt allowed them to start at their 18. His second punt of 32 yds allowed UW to start at their 37. Didn't see much Pinning & Excelling.

OK, so perhaps the execution wasn't so great in this game. Not the point, and his execution over many data points (last year) indicate that he is a VERY GOOD punter.

Well, if you consider the anemic offense in the first half that backed up our kicker closer and closer to the end zone, then yes.

Could well be. Could well be. Whoever is our best Punter, I hope he's fully healthy by the Eugene game. It could mean the difference between a rare W there and or death by a thousand FGs.

Completely agree.
