Yes, it is the same song but there is no way the mic man that came up with that cheer in the 1980's didn't lift it from somewhere else.

Ahmad Anderson was hardly a mic man, but a pretty decent DB. It is possible he subconsciously lifted it from somewhere else, but I can't believe you'd accuse a highly respect Cal football player of doing such a thing without any evidence to suggest he did (although that suggestion isn't as bad as saying he was a mic man).

Hilarious Snoop stealing our stuff. Well if the rappers can't win on dance moves they created v. Fortnite, we not gonna win v. rappers for a couple of lines. Although a court did rule in favor of an artist who claimed Katy Perry lifted the beats and melodies for her song Dark Horse.

There's no better publicity than getting a shout out (subtle or not) in a famous hip-hop or rapper's song. Companies will sacrifice most anything to get this type of publicity.

Yeah seriously, if anyone's hoping Cal will be able to sue Snoop for enough $$$$ (or get enough "marketing" from this song to make enough $$$$) for its football program to make a serious upward move in the pecking order, dream on, this ain't our lottery ticket.

But it does give us bragging rights in terms of a major pop-culture figure ripping US off.
