I take it you tried the Fox Sports app and the Fox Now app and those don't work with Dish either?

Bump. Is there a good answer here? I thought Dish was great, still do, but this problem with Fox Sports is maddening. What is best way to catch or record game? Maybe GrandmaStreams.

I love you too. Grandma is typically one of the featured options on the site I mentioned.

For the Cal game, just buy an antenna. Fox comes in crystal clear OTA (and it's free!).

You can also use the Locast app that Dish offers with their programming. It is in their "apps" in the main Menu. It does not offer any recording, rewinding, pausing, etc. functions that normal dish offers though. It is an independent app so about every 15 - 20 mins the programming is interrupted to ask for donations. However, on the positive side you can watch the game.

Buy a digital antenna paired with AirTV, it lets you watch your local channels anywhere in the world for free. Perfect if you no longer live in the local market where you want to want watch NFL/college sports (antenna at my parents house). Also integrates with Sling so you can watch your local channels through the Sling app or AirTV app.

If you have Apple tv there is a fox now app that allows you to eatch 1 hour free before signing up. You would see at least part of the game. After an hour, you may not want to watch

We just signed up for U tube steaming. It has all the channels, including the Foxes, and is cheaper. First month is Free so keeping Dish as a backup till we are sure we like it.

YouTube TV is fantastic. I've touted it before. It records all the Cal games automatically, you get unlimited cloud DVR storage and it records games until the bitter end, including if they are delayed by a three-hour lightning delay.

But it doesn't have Pac-12 Network.

So I have Sling TV in addition to YouTube TV this fall.

Of course for Fox and all other networks, $20 HD antenna, the equivalent of "rabbit ears", works great. the picture quality is better than cable.

One more option, if you're able to link to a family member or friend's (non-DISH) cable/satellite account:

Download the "Fox Now" app on your phone. If you have an active cable subscription, you should be able to watch the game.
